4ème Jour : Pays de Galles
An early start on Monday for a day in Wales. About an hour and three quarters in the coach past Bristol and across the border into the wastelands of Wales. We began with a visit to the Big Pit, where the group put on miner's hats and equipment and went down into a former mine, now a museum. The tour is led by former miners.and was moving and instructive. Lunch on the site, more sandwiches of English confection, prepare the salad and steaks for their return with a baguette on the side. Afterwards we went into Cardiff and were taken around the Millenium stadium, temple of Welsh rugby. Of course our rugbymen, Fabien , Vianney etc were very attentive, but everyone enjoyed seeing the VIP lounges and entering the stadium like the stars to music and chanting crowds. One day lads ...
Back home to concentrate our minds for a studious day at Oxford University tomorrow. Bonne nuit les parents.
